What is a CSA and how does it work?
CSA stands for community supported agriculture. At heart it is a partnership between a farm and the consumer. Members pay in advance for their share and are ensured a return of high quality produce and/or meat and eggs. The farm benefits considerably by being paid in advance and is ensured a consistent market at a fair price.
What is a share and what types does Rockville Market Farm offer?
A share is a box of produce and/or meat and eggs that is packed weekly by the farm and delivered to convenient neighborhood drops. This year the farm will only be offering a summer share and there is only one size box. In addition to the summer vegetable share we offer “add-on” options including an egg share, a summer grill package and a goat cheese offering from our friends at Does Leap.
What is a Summer Share?
The Summer Share is our main offering. It consists of 20 weeks of fresh, certified organic vegetables delivered to convenient neighborhood locations. The share is designed to feed a family of four to six or a couple with an insatiable appetite for vegetables.
What is a Fall/Winter Share?
We are very excited to offer a winter share this year. At it’s best, the share will consist of offerings from our greenhouses, root cellar, farm kitchen and walk-in freezer. This offering is in its initial stages of conception but we are thrilled with the potential here.
What is an egg share?
Eric’s Eggs is a growing part of our company. We take great pride in these eggs. They offered as shares at $4 per dozen per week.
What is a “summer grill package”?
A summer grill package consist of five months of pasture raised meats that are perfect for the grill. The share is delivered once a month and will always consist of three pounds of pork sausage (from our own pigs) as well as two pounds of grass raised hamburger (Maple Wind Farm).
How do I purchase a share?

Where do I pick-up my share?
We offer numerous drop sites in South Burlington, including Healthy Living, Orchard neighborhood, Mayfair Park, Vermont National and Butler Farms. You can also pick-up Saturday at the Burlington Farmer’s Market. We are always looking to add pick-up sites in our region. Feel free to suggest a location.
Can I still purchase a share?
Yes, you can sign up any time during the season. We will pro-rate your share. You can also choose to purchase “one time shares” from the on-line store. This is a good way to try out the shares.
